The Community Action Partnership of Strafford County (CAPSC) is expanding its annual Thanksgiving Meal Basket Program to help a growing number of local families need support this holiday season.

More than 950 families have already signed up, with CAPSC aiming to distribute up to 1,000 baskets—a significant increase from previous years.

The program is open to all—just a simple request form is required to receive a basket stocked with traditional holiday items, including canned vegetables, stuffing mixes, and gift cards for families to purchase a protein of their choice.

Generous donations from D.F. Richard Energy and Seacoast Charter School have bolstered the effort, but further community help is still needed.

Rochester is urging residents to follow parking rules during Snow Emergencies to ensure efficient snow removal and public safety.

When a Snow Emergency is declared, all on-street parking is banned, and vehicles left on city streets may be towed at the owner's cost.

The city offers several municipal lots for residents to use during emergencies — including 60 Wakefield Street, North Main Lot, Liberty Street Lot, and Columbus Lot A.

Residents should promptly remove their vehicles from these lots once the parking ban is lifted, allowing snow clearing to continue smoothly.

Parking exemptions are available by application through the Rochester Police Department, but vehicles without permits cannot park in these areas during Snow Emergencies.

Everyone is encouraged to sign up for the city's E-Alert system for timely updates on emergencies and parking bans.

Following these guidelines helps keep Rochester roads safe and accessible during winter weather.

After falling behind 10-0 early in the second quarter, rookie quarterback Drake Maye responded with poise, completing 22 of 35 passes for 294 yards and connecting with Hunter Henry for a crucial 28-yard touchdown. Henry shined with a career-best 115 receiving yards and a touchdown.

A turning point came when Marcus Jones intercepted Bengals quarterback Joe Flacco and scored on a dramatic 33-yard return. Andy Borregales provided steady support, hitting four field goals, highlighted by a vital 52-yarder late in the fourth quarter.
