Feature Business Spotlight: Halloween Crystal Boutique

Six years ago, Myrina Jalbert started a small business with one goal in mind: the ability to stay home and care for her children while pursuing her lifelong fascination with crystals and minerals. What began as a passion project has now blossomed into the Halloween Crystal Boutique in downtown Rochester, NH—a magical space that’s as much about community as it is about crystals.

A Hub for Local Artisans

The Boutique is home to 11 local artisans (and growing), offering everything from handcrafted jewelry, artwork, and candles to mystical décor, textiles, and seasonal treasures. Myrina’s mission is clear:

“My goal is to help grow the community within the community by giving local makers a chance to showcase their work. I believe everyone who tries deserves the chance to succeed.”

A Store Like No Other

Step inside and you’ll be greeted by a warm, enchanting atmosphere:

  • Crystals & Carvings: Rows of polished stones, towers, spheres, and whimsical carvings—from crystal butterflies to carved witches and dragons.

  •
  • Magical Ambiance: Hanging lanterns, glowing displays, and seasonal Halloween décor create an inviting, otherworldly shopping experience.

  •
  • Handmade Variety: Locally made candles, wall art, soaps, incense, knit goods, wood-burned crafts, and unique jewelry fill every shelf.

  •
  • Seasonal Treasures: Pumpkin-themed kitchen décor, fall signs, cozy pillows, and festive tableware change with the seasons, keeping every visit fresh.

Why It Matters

The Halloween Crystal Boutique is more than a shop—it’s a platform for creativity and community spirit. It brings together artisans, supports small business dreams, and gives shoppers the chance to buy unique, handmade items they won’t find anywhere else.

Crohn’s disease causes chronic inflammation in the digestive tract, leading to discomfort such as abdominal pain and fatigue.

Choosing gentle, nutrient-rich foods like bananas, salmon, and cooked carrots can ease digestion and help manage symptoms.

White rice, smooth nut butters, and skinless white meat chicken offer easy-to-digest energy and protein, making them ideal staples during flares.

Foods like avocados, scrambled eggs, zucchini, and yogurt with live cultures provide additional vitamins and promote healthy gut bacteria.

It’s important to avoid common triggers, including high-fiber vegetables, fried foods, spicy meals, caffeine, alcohol, and sugary snacks.

Personalized choices, guided by trial and error and professional advice, are key to managing Crohn’s disease while enjoying a varied, nutritious diet.
