Summer Concert Series Returns to Rochester Commons |
Enjoy Free Live Music Every Wednesday Evening from July 16 to August 27 |
Rochester Recreation & Arena is thrilled to announce the return of the beloved Concert on the Common series, set to enliven the Rochester Common every Wednesday evening from July 16 through August 27, 2025.
This free, family-friendly event showcases a diverse lineup of talented bands, offering genres ranging from rock and pop to jazz, blues, acoustic, and reggae, covering hits from the 1950s to today.
"Concert on the Common is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy great music on a beautiful summer evening," said Nicole Lee, Marketing Program Coordinator. "The music is sure to be enjoyed by people of all ages—just remember to bring a chair or blanket to sit on!"
The concert schedule is as follows:
July 16: Truffle—Acoustic roots and Americana favorites.
July 23: Key Elements—Nostalgic hits mainly from the 70s.
July 30: 3 Shades of Gray—Classic oldies from the 50s, 60s, and 70s.
August 6: Cameron Drive Project—Seven decades of rock & roll, classic to contemporary.
August 13: Mango Groove Steel Band—Calypso, jazz, and Caribbean rhythms.
August 20: Mica’s Groove Train—Blues, R&B, pop, soft rock, funk/soul, and reggae.
August 27: Kid Pinky—Original blues, New Orleans funk, and jazz-inspired music.
Concerts will be held on Wednesdays, with rain dates scheduled for Thursdays. In July, performances run from 6:30–8:00 pm; in August, from 6:00–7:30 pm.

In addition to the concert series, Rochester has seen exciting developments in the past year. The Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce celebrated the grand opening of its new office at 250 Clinton Square in downtown Rochester on July 25, 2024. This move marks a significant milestone for the organization, symbolizing a fresh chapter as it continues to foster economic growth and advocate for businesses across the region.
These developments, coupled with the return of the Concert on the Common series, highlight Rochester's commitment to fostering a vibrant and inclusive community for all residents.
