Free weekly performances to enliven the Rochester Common from July 9 through August 27 |
The Rochester Recreation & Arena Department is thrilled to announce the return of the beloved "Concert on the Common" series, set to bring live music to the heart of the city every Wednesday evening from July 9 through August 27, 2025.
These free, family-friendly concerts will take place at the Rochester Common, offering residents and visitors an opportunity to enjoy a diverse array of musical genres in a picturesque outdoor setting.
In July, performances will run from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm, while in August, the concerts will be held from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs or blankets to comfortably enjoy the shows.
The 2025 lineup features a mix of local favorites and new acts, including:
July 9: The Cameron Drive Project – A dynamic band known for their energetic performances and eclectic repertoire.
July 16: North River Music – Delivering a blend of classic rock and contemporary hits.
July 23: Kid Pinky – Instrumental, original blues, funk, and jazz.
July 30: Tin Palace – Blues, rock, and country covers and originals.
August 6: 3 Shades of Gray – Classic hits of the 50s, 60s, and 70s.
August 13: Mica's Groove Train – Blues, reggae, pop, R&B, soul, and originals.
August 20: Senie Hunt with Chris O'Neill – Beautiful guitar playing and vocals bridging worlds of music such as Celtic and African along with some fun pop and rock favorites.
August 27: TRUFFLE (acoustic) – Roots, Americana-Soul, and World music.
In the event of inclement weather, concerts will be rescheduled to the following Thursday, subject to performer availability.
Updates regarding weather-related changes will be posted on the Rochester Recreation & Arena website and social media channels.
"Concert on the Common is a wonderful community tradition that brings together families and music lovers of all ages," said Nicole Lee, Marketing Program Coordinator.
"We’re excited to continue this great tradition with some old favorites as well as brand-new acts. Please bring a chair or blanket to sit on and enjoy an evening of music and fun."
