The Patriots capped off a dominant performance Sunday at Gillette Stadium with a 32-13 defeat of the Browns, improving to 6-2 on the season.
Rookie QB Drake Maye had a breakout showing: 18 of 24 passing for 282 yards and three touchdowns, all coming in the third quarter despite one interception.
His scoring throws connected with tight end Hunter Henry, wide receiver Stefon Diggs, and wideout Kayshon Boutte, giving New England the decisive edge.
Despite an outstanding individual effort by Browns pass rusher Myles Garrett, who recorded five sacks, setting a franchise mark, Cleveland couldn’t capitalize offensively.
QB Dillon Gabriel posted 156 yards and two touchdowns but also tossed two interceptions, as the Browns’ offense stalled following an early lead.
The turning point came in the third quarter: the Patriots piled on 21 points in that span and never looked back. Defensive plays, including two third-quarter interceptions, swung the momentum firmly in their direction.
The Browns now drop to 2-6, while New England continues to build momentum and credibility as a contender. With a confident defense and growing offensive consistency, the Patriots look sharp as they move forward.
