Holy Rosary Credit Union's Annual Program Supports Local Youth Education |
Holy Rosary Credit Union (HRCU) has proudly awarded a record-breaking 18 scholarships to deserving students in Rochester, New Hampshire. This milestone underscores HRCU's unwavering commitment to supporting local youth in their educational pursuits.
The recipients, including high school and college students, children of employees, and participants from the HRCU Banking and Financial Services Program at the R.W. Creteau Regional Technology Center, were honored at a ceremony held at HRCU's Rochester branch on June 16.
HRCU President and CEO Brian Hughes expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "Awarding some of our youngest and most deserving members has been a proud tradition dating back 30 years. We believe that investing in our youth is an investment in our community, and our Annual Scholarship program is just one of the many ways in which we do that."
To be eligible for these scholarships, applicants must be HRCU members and meet specific criteria. This year, the application process was streamlined through a new online portal, enhancing accessibility for all candidates.
Since its inception, HRCU has awarded 296 scholarships totaling over $300,000. The 2026 scholarship application will be available online in January 2026.
In addition to supporting education, HRCU remains actively involved in the Rochester community. The credit union's dedication to local development is evident in its ongoing initiatives and support for various community projects.
